Crochet Beaded Evening Dress
Over the last several years, I've posted photographs of my friend's work. She is not on the internet, but her work is extraordinary and I would like to share her latest creation with you. This last year, she designed and made the crocheted beaded evening dress shown below. This dress was made using size 10 crochet thread with 5-7,000 size 10/0 beads. Unfortunately, my photography is so deficient that you can't really see the sparkle of the beads and for that I'm regretful. The dress has a 3-tiered skirt. Each flounce of the skirt has an underskirt that supports its weight and attaches mid-way up the flounce above it. The ingenuity of the construction including the beautiful heart opening in the back is really extraordinary. Additionally, she has developed a method of crochet that allows her to set the beads in position when she is working "back and forth" on a row as well as when she is working in the round. She pre-strings the beads and works them into the fabric of the material.
The white stole that is draped over her arms is also done with a heart motif and is heavily beaded also.
Both of these garments were entered into the 2016 Oregon State Fair and won 1st place ribbons.
Note: no pattern is available and at present she has no plans to formalize her designs.
Here a some of the toys I have made recently.

Another stitch pattern I love.
Thanks to Betty2012 who was looking for a particular stitch pattern. I loved it so much I went looking for it. The closest I found is pictured below. It has a graph and some instructions in another language that I don't understand and no guide to the stitches used. It was a guessing game for me with my very limited experience with charts. I did figure out it was multiples of 12 stitches + 3.
The dress is of course PIPPI Baby Pinafore dress, a free pattern by Marianna Mel. The Mary Janes are a free pattern too. I love this little dress pattern, it's great for trying out new stitch patterns as well as all of your favourites. I knitted it in Peter Pan DK on 4mm needles. I'm currently looking in my stash to try the same pattern but using a different decrease as shown in the photo on a needle, which I think is closer to the one Betty wanted. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. 💞
I forgot to say I added an 1 extra stitch to make the stitch pattern fit. 😀

Had to try this little pattern K
Saw it free on ravelry and thought it would make a nice coat/ cardigan as the weather cools decided to knit a beret to go with it . The pattern was straight forward and easy to follow and comes in two different styles . A shorter basic cardigan , or the one I knit which is longer and has a bit of a swing style to it . I will definitely knit this again and use a nicer yarn as I was lazy and just picked up this colour and started to knit .
Sorry. Sent this to the wrong place the first time. For my GD Madeline. Sirdar sweater and Tearoom doll.

I love the colours of crazy Zauberball yarns.
Socks-my first hand knit project
I am a former machine knitter, now teaching myself to hand knit. This is my first project. Knitted two at a time then dyed with acid dye, because I didn't like the color.
