My sister found this picture on line but didn't bookmark it and she wants me to make one for my niece. I've tried ravelry but haven't been able to find anything. Has anyone seen a knit pattern for this kind of hat with the braids?

Thanks!

How cute is that! I found some online, called Rapunzel hats. Here is one that looks close:

There are quite a few called Rapunzel Hats on Ravelry and Etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/search?q=rapunzel%20hat%20pattern&order=most_relevant&view_type=gallery&ship_to=ZZ&min=0&max=0&includes%5B0%5D=tags

I hope you find one you like!

I think this is the actual one in the picture, but it looks like she sells finished products not the pattern: http://www.etsy.com/listing/90874070/pink-rapunzel-character-hat-with-long?ref=sr_gallery_8&sref=&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=rapunzel+hat&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_order=price_asc&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

You are welcome! I would not have thought of it either! I dragged the picture into images.google.com and it found instances on the web of the picture. A little searching from there and there it was.

Another project not to let me four-year-old daughter see until I have fewer items in my pending pile. :)

I've never used google images like that, good to know. There is a knit pattern for sale, looks pretty simple so I may just try it on my own first. I'll post a picture if I do figure it out. :)

What a cute idea. Doesn't look to hard to make up on your own without buying a pattern. Use your favorite pattern and add the yarn like you would fringe and braid it. But it is adorable!
