I went to this website: http://crochetliving.blogspot.com/2008/05/crochet-tiger-chart-or-graph-two.html. I think that I posted this subject before but please bear with me. I would like to know how to transfer pictures to graph paper via software for crochet. I know about microrevolt website which is ok if you don't want to tweak your pictures as you don't have much control. I have drawings on the backburner so to speak, and if I can find something that will facilitate this process, it would be great.

Thanks

I use free cross-stitch software to make color charts for Tunisian crochet and it would also work for single crochet. I also use it for knitting patterns by elongating the image. It's called KG-Chart for Cross Stitch. You can import and edit images as well as draw them from scratch.

Hi fergablu2,

I will search for free cross-stitch software. Do you know of any free cross stitch software that I can check out in the meantime?

I know you are hoping for free software but i bit the bullet and purchased software from this site http://www.crochetdesigns.com/
It is amazing and i have created some beautiful items with it. I do recommend that if you do buy it get the disk as well in case something happens and it gets deleted or you want to put it on a new computer

Hi chrissyf,

This may seem like a silly question, but can I use it for single crochet eventhough it's for filet crochet?

you can you just have to figure out for yourself the finished dimensions...i have done it for a few sc things as well as some knitting graphs. It has a feature to use colors instead of just black and white.

The simple way is to print your picture on to graph paper, Printable graph paper is readily available and cheap. No software needed

Does the graph paper you use come in different sized squares, or is it standard

I have seen free programs to make graph paper and most let you make the graph whatever size you want
