Has anyone ever used the carbon fiber needles?? They seem really nice and smooth but I was wondering how they do after a lot of use.

I have to say I have never looked that far into the ingredients used to make my plastic needles. I know they use carbon fibers in making car parts and golf clubs, so I assume it will hold it shape. I think it would depend more on the quality of plastic with which the carbon fibers are mixed.

I have some KnitPro Karbonz circulars. They are delightful to use. I love them.

My friend has the KnitPro Karbonz and loves them too. She let me borrow a pair of the DP ones and I have to say - they were very nice to knit with. Very smooth and sturdy. As far as I know she hasn't had any trouble with them.

I have never tried the carbon fiber needles. You say they are nice and smooth and that sure is important but what about the points? I like needles that have a smaller point. I bought a couple of sizes of Signature needles and their stilletto point is fabulous. I bought 2 sizes of 8" Addi straights when they first came out and don't like them at all. The point is so thick it is sometimes hard to get in the stitch. I should have sent them back as a message to redo the point but I ddn't and have had them too long now to do it. I'm careful now when buying needles to check the points before buying.

I will be getting a pair of the carbon needles so I will let you know what I think of them and the tips. I know the tips are nickel and look nice and 'pointy'. I'll let you know what I think. I am getting a pair of size 2, as I do socks with them. If I like them, I will get a few more pair. They seem to only come in smaller sizes. I know I have bamboo needles now and I broke one and one of them is bowed really bad because I tend to knit 'tight' or I still hold my needles a bit too tight, especially with those small needles.

I have a pair of the size 4 circular's coming tomorrow. I am just waiting for the larger sizes to become available. Hopefully, they will be more desirable for me than the signatures. I love the Signature points, but dislike the cables. I keep picking up the Sig's to use because of how much I love the points, then cringe because of the softness of the cables.

My yarn shop sells them but webs has them. I think amazon even has them. I don't have a pair yet, but that is my next purchase. I got to try them out at the yarn shop by me and they just felt so good.

I'm not sure what the tree is. I THINK it is a Kwanzan flowering cherry tree.

I got the size 4 circulars and LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Can't wait for the larger sizes. I say on a scale of 1 to 10, they are a 10 and the Signature's are a 4 in comparison. They are THAT wonderful!!!
