For years I used Red Heart Baby Yarn for both hand and machine knitting, then they discontinued it and I haven't found anything comparable. I have tried Bernat's fingering (too fine) and Mary Maxim Twinkle (not enough body). Has anyone else found a substitute? Thank you.

Try Sensations Little Treat (JoAnn Stores and mfr.) Also Cuddle Muffin, "a soft self patterning yarn" also JoAnn's. It's number is 3, but I use #3 needles to make preemie baby outfits and it works well.

I like Baby Soft by Lion Brand Yarns, and Softee Baby by Bernat. Also I have used any brand sport weight yarns.
