DLB I know you knit the chunky version. I sat down and started to knit the DK weight version.

The instructions say to cast on 7 stitches. Row 1 - sl1, (K1, yo) three times and K2 (10 stitches on needles)

So... there is an error in row one of the pattern... since if you follow the directions, there will only be 9 stitches on my needle after row 1.

Did you find any errors when you knitted the Aran weight version?! I hesitate to continue if there is an error on the very first row.... Ugh!

Oh I am sorry, I did not run into a problem. The beginning almost makes a tab like beginning as if you are making a triangle shawl. I know that you have enough experience at knitting that this should be something that you can deal with. Really, it is an easy knit. - I don't knit socks, have only done one shawl pattern from charts, have not done any color work, so I know you can knit this making the adjustments that might come up. Have fun!!!!

Thanks. I am sure I am having a blonde moment. I have done literally dozens of shawls from charts or written.... I am stumped... back to the yarn to give it another go.... LOL

Occasionally it HELPS if you READ the DIRECTIONS... I am like a guy that way.... just pick up my sticks and string and start knitting... ONLY need to read the directions IF I am having trouble! Sound like a man you know?! Giggle.

Thanks, Zoe... as always!

hmmmm, would you be talking about Eric? hahahah, I do believe he has his own mind set on specifics! hahah, Zoe :D
BTW, you are welcome and no problems! my policy is sort of "if at first you don't succeed, frog it, read the instructions, have a chocolate, then start again........." ahahha
