This is an afghan I made to help get rid of my odd stash yarn. Did not make a dent in my odd balls and skeins. Have a second one half done, will post when it is done.

Oh Wow! (I actually said this out loud!) I love your afghan.

I'm teaching myself to crochet with the hope that one day I can make myself a stash buster granny. You inspired me. Back to my hook!

I did this too! You are one talented lady with a perfect eye for combining colors. I can't wait to see your next one.

Since I don't crochet, I can only admire the beautiful work you have done. Well done!!

My mother used to do this and she made some beautiful afghans, just as you did. Somehow I was at the back of the line, or just plain not paying attention, when they passed out the "sewing-all-those-squares-together" gene. How I envy you the patience and skill in doing that part of the project!

Love the circles within the square. For a little different look on your next granny square afghan, try crocheting the pieces together to give a more textured finish.

Great idea.
I've been making cat toys, and cat mats for a local rescue using my odd leftovers. Most balls are too small to work well in granny squares, but the cats don't care if their mat is made up of kitchen cotton, acrylic, wool.... and whatever else I get my hands on at the time.
I've still barely made a dent tho.

a few people have asked for the pattern of my stash afghan, here is the pattern for the square. I just sc around them all once finished and sewed them together then crocheted around the whole thing
