I miss her...she was always so wise and I loved her sense of humor!

this is a nicer way to say, 'i want my last check to bounce.'

I love this one too! And there are a great many days when I truly feel this way (depending of course on to whom the last check is written!)

I agree with all the above. I have some of her columns that are yellow and crisp w/age. They are probably repeated in the books that I have, but I keep the columns as they spoke so clearly to me when I needed them!

Erma was one of my all time favorites to read for a laugh at myself. Thanks for the post.

Thank you for the quote. I really liked Erma. There was always such wisdom in her jokes.

Great quote! My problem is that God gave me so many talents that working as fast as I can, no way I will ever use even one of them up. My, this sounds rather cocky but I am not saying I have developed all of them but what I have developed, hopefully will be of benefit others. When we are in service to our fellow men, we are really in service to our God. As a child I felt bad that I just wanted to create things rather than become a nurse or something useful to others but as I became an adult and started sharing the things I created and saw the joy it brought, I no longer felt bad.
