This the the Springtime Bandit shawl. I did the original lace all-over pattern with the teal shawl. The green shawl has a stockinette body with that fabulous border tacked on. (I can forward basic instructions on how to substitute the stockinette if you pm me.) They are both knitted in fingering weight.

I posted the Gail shawl a few days back and many of you were contemplating trying that one for your first lace shawl. I'm posting this one because it really is a better starting place to get your lace "sea legs" and the price is right, as they say.

Masterpiece!!!! Your knitting is just magical...and the color choices are so right.... I am so behind... This one is also on my list... I have one more baby item to make for my friend and then... lace, lace, lace..... :thumbup:

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I really appreciate one and all. Since quite a few of y'all expressed an interest in the stockinette version, I wanted to post a couple more pictures of the green shawl for you to see more of it in case you'd like to try it.
