i am doing fine daralene - thanks for asking - the energy isn't all back but it will come. some of the meds i am on actually cut my energy - a case of the cure being worse than the cause. but i have gotten used to it and do what i can when i can do it. took me three days to get the kitchen done - heidi finished the last of it for me. it wasn't that much but if i move too fast then i need to sit down and catch my breath. so annoying. lol

i can't believe the heavy sky we had this morning has all burned off and we have blue sky and bright sunshine - i didn't think it would burn through. that always boosts my energy level - we don't get nearly enough during the winter. the air is quite shart outside - at 34° - but a beautiful day. --- sam
Hard not having the energy for sure. How wonderful for Heidi to finish up. That is so nice to feel done.

Can you send your blue skies this way! Thank you ahead of time. LOL

I have only bought yarn twice all year, for specific projects, so mine has dwindled quite a bit since January. I am down to a lot of yardage in limited colors in worsted, which creates a challenge, and now down to one small bag of sport and DK. I've got *thousands* of yards of lace weight, however, all in a tiny box. LOL
Wow, you are doing great!

I've just since the holidays become aware of vanilla bean paste and have started using it instead of the extract. Absolutely love the richness of the flavor it adds.
I think it was in an icecream that I used it- what ever it was it was superb!

5 45pm and I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day/boxing.

For the most part all went well here. Gage and Greg got into words and Greg left. Needless to say that I was in tears for the better part of the day. Just looking forward to bed now.

Hope Santa spoiled everyone rotten. ????????????
:sm09: Santa did spoil me somewhat. DS gave me a hank of 4 strands of beads, rubies. Am already planning what to make with them. Definitely a bracelet for me, and maybe earrings, though I would need to get ears repierced to wear

Not sure if the spray worked or I was just tired but I did get about 5 hours of sleep without coughing ,middle son says it worked for him but he is not a reliable source as he only has to shut his eyes and he's asleep wish I knew how he does that , it really amazes me . Even when he was a baby he would fall asleep in a second . He does not get his amazing ability from me I toss and turn wriggle one way then the other I must turn my pillow over at least 5 times , kick the blanket off then put it back on ,seem to take forever to fall asleep
I used be able to sleep standing up, literally, but not anymore, I still fall asleep fairly easily, it's the waking up several times during the night that was driving me crazy, so now I at least seem to sleep all night once I'm asleep.

So do we see a lot of lace designing in 2017 for you? :sm02:

allergies in midwinter - what would they come from? --- sam
My winter sinus issues come from dust and dry air. I'm sure having the house closed up and the Boys' hair doesn't help either. I drink ginger lemon tea and that helps. I could use a humidifier, I'm sure.

Hi all, another lovely morning here. It's quite cool to begin the day, then it's nice and warm in the afternoon.
I didn't get any photos inside the yarn store, it's quite a small area within and not a huge amount of room.
It's like a cosy cottage. This would have to be the laziest holiday ever, we must really need to wind down.
Not admitting to getting older lol! just tired, although yesterday managed the stairs without puffing so that's a plus.
It takes a bit of getting used to the long twilight down here, it doesn't get dark until 10-10.30pm.

Bub's the same way. He falls asleep in seconds. I've never been able to do that.

may we have a picture of said had? please. --- sam
I'll get one in a bit. Putting it on Lucinda (my styrofoam head) will actually help me see what the top truly looks like--hard to tell when one is wearing it!

I took down the tree (never really got it all the way up...) and put it back in the closet. I'd thought about getting rid of it but need the box for the lights and angel on top and so forth! So it'll stay there at least until I empty another storage container--I am not allowing myself to buy any more of those either! Then had to vacuum and sweep--the kitchen floor still needs mopping, and then to the workroom.

Hello everyone. ☺☺☺☺

I woke up this morning to about 2 inches or so of snow. Wasn't snowing the last time I had Deuce out around midnight. Still snowing now lightly but we are apparently supposed to get more/heavier snow this evening.

Gage will he home today sometime. Have enjoyed the peace and quiet and solitude but I have also missed him so much.????

Thank you Sam☺☺☺

We've gone from clouds to blue to clouds again just since I got up about four hours ago. Last night the news reminded us that ten years ago was our biggest ever recorded snowstorm, and I remember it well! We had two feet of snow and the city was paralyzed for days. Not hoping for that ever again, but some rain would be nice. The weather folks say maybe for New Year's we'll have rain. On Wednesday we are supposed to go very cold, which figures since Bub's doc appointment is then. The one day we *have* to go out! :sm16:

I've long loved sleigh beds. A bit out of my price range, too, though! I'm about ready to head for my ordinary bed for the night anyhow. :sm04:
I would love a king size carved 4 poster with 18" thick memory foam mattress and gauzy curtains. Pity I have no room for 1.

Wow, that is unusual for your area.
