My friend owns an Addi-knitter. She just sews the top together or puts on a pom pom.

Thank You!!
I'm so glad you started this topic, it's been a very interesting one.
I hope your Addi comes soon.
This is my pile of 15 hats on the kitchen scale. I think it was the most
yarn I used in four days.

What are you making them for? I can't wait to use up some of my yarn!

I made those plus 12 crocheted and some knit hats for my friend's granddaughter's 2nd grade class. So a total of 27. I just kept making hats until the Addi came. It took almost two weeks for it to get here and it was November so I was worried about kids being cold. It was fun, I work better under pressure. :-)

How nice of you to make those! I am sure the children enjoyed them. My Addi is coming from The Netherlands. I have no idea when it will be here. I'm thinking the end of April. So, when I get some stuff made I'll post it.

I have previously owned and used a metal knitting machine, the plastic knitting machines and used an Addi the large one a few times. I have to say they are all fun to use. It depends on what you are making. You are limited with the Addi one, but it is quick and fun. The plastic regular knitting machines are great for basic use and learning if you want to keep your costs down. You have to wax your yarn to make sure it slides in the machine well without ruining it. The metal knitting machines are of course the best, out last the other options and little limitations as to what you can make. I think you need to decide how long you want it, how much you want to spend and what you are going to make with it. How many things you are going to make. I personally loved using all of them. They were all a bit different. The Addi one is perfect for charity knitting!! Save you time and keeps your hand healthy. :) My favourite it the metal one I have, though not working as I need to replace parts. I have a medium gauge one which is hard to find now.

Thanks! I'm thinking of making hats for my shops and for people who need them.

I found this on Pinterest after someone mentioned it on the Addi Knitter Facebook group. It's called a Krankie. It makes your AddiKnitting faster:

If the pin doesn't work for you, just Google "Krankie Addi Knitter"
