Just thought i'd like to share the lighting I made up for my Passap
Gives excellent light right where you need it.
made using 2 USB 5V LED Hard Strip Light Tube Lamps with On/Off Switch (Ebay) £3.99 each free p&p
22 mm overflow pipe , 4 push in 90 degree bends and 4 pipe clamps.
Attached upright pipes to stand using pipe clamps, these move the upright pipes clear of the back lock (picture two), experimented with height and found that just under yarn guides was best, two 90 degree elbows push on two short pipes to bring lights to bed center, two more 90 degree elbows push on and then light holder tube, screw lights to light holder tube, use cable ties to keep cables tidy and switches on one upright. Powered by phone chargers (we all have these laying around from old phones).
Total cost under £20 (not including phone chargers)

Looks great! We all need better lighting. I tend to quit when the natural light goes down. Looks like a good solution for me as well. Thanks for sharing.

My husband made a light for me using a purchased clothes rack that he added a fluorescent tube to across the top. It worked very well and then got lost in a move.

can't he make another?

Nice work. I like the phone charger idea. Maybe I'll gather some courage and make 1 or 2 by combining some of your ideas with the clothes rack(it's already made) one. My older cataract eyes will appreciate it. My husband probably would be able help too as he's been much handier than he used to be, LOL. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like a really nice setup, and economical to put together. I can only imagine what some company would charge for something similar. Probably as much as a machine!

Great idea! I have to figure out how to adapt it for my use; I have two machines mounted back to back on the same table and not sure how to deal with the tension masts. Any ideas?

Wonderful idea. I can see this in my machine future.

use a tee piece on the verticals and have two sets of lights one set for each machine

Great idea! Thanks for sharing. To make it mobile flat feet/base could be created with more pipe joints.

More interestingly, what are those tubs/racks on your yarn masts?
