This is not mine - I LOVE mine. For those that are interested?

The carriage isn't there, but the lace carriage is. No tension mast or tools. If got for under $400, would be a lovely machine one could build on or act as a second bed.

How hard would it be to find the items that are missing?

Pretty easy I believe to find the carriage - cost is the issue - getting one at a good price. The yarn mast is cheap, as are the tools, etc.

Would the carriage from a 950i work?

When I have seen a carriage available for sale, they have not been cheap, or even reasonable.

Pricing out the missing parts on ebay I'd estimate around $450 before all the shipping charges are added in.

I hadnt been on ebay for quite sometime, yesterday doing some research, and I must say I don't care for the way the listings are set up now. Or is just me???

I think that machine is a steal if you're in the states, worth it just to have for parts and the lace carriage, alas it won't be re-homed to me

Can someone tell me if parts from a 950i work on this machine?

I read that all 900 series carriages work with all 900 series beds except for the 970 bed

Right now, yes. Carriage being most expensive. Great for someone who has a 900 series already and wants to upgrade.

I agree but I can't swear that the 950i carriage will work on the 965i but I do think it should...

THanks for the info, but the sale is over. HOWEVER I found a super complete 965i on ebay for pick up only in Clayton, NC. It has a ribber, motor, lots of yarn and lots of other stuff.

Here's a rare SK-860 machine with low shipping. She says "Best Offer". I don't think the $999 price is terribly steep for an electronic mid-gauge, but if one could get it for $850 - wow! I lucked out into mine from a Craigslist ad - had to drive four hours each way to West Virginia to get it but it was totally worth it.
