We have a friend who has been homeless for quite a while. With her are her 22 year old daughter, who has non controlled epilepsy, and her high school aged son. They parked in our driveway one night and then could not start their car. That was the beginning of our close involvement in their drama. Everything they had been able to take with them from their last apartment was in their vehicle. Today their vehicle was towed from our driveway. She is depressed, not a surprise, her son has not figured it out yet, it's after 11:00 pm.

Yes there is a lot more to this story. I do not want to get into all of the details. I ask for prayers that she can possibly get to her vehicle to get her belongings and put up the windows. I also beg for prayers that they get their own apartment. I know it cannot be easy not having your own home.

Thank you everyone.

Prayers, too. I hope she can retrieve their belongings. Do you have any homeless services in your area for families?
We have services for homeless but many years ago she was in a shelter and it was such a terrifying experience that she will not go to another one. She has had poor experiences with social workers in the past also so she has been trying to handle everything by herself. In truth she does not have much money and in the mad race to pay rent and utilities plus take care of family something always falls behind. She hates going to food pantries because you have to stand in line for so long, then wait once you are inside. (That is how we make it through the month!) I guess not eating much is one of the reasons she is always so slender.

oh great King of the universe we exalt you our Father in heaven i pray your kingdom comes to this family and Jesus intercedes for them . put people in their life to help and light their path to see you and goodness in Jesus name

Untill I came on this site,I didnt know there were homeless people in the USA,thought of it as a very rich country,We have people living on the street here in the UK,yet send Billions of pounds in aid to other countrys,How much of that goes to the Poor in those countrys,India say they dont need it,so send it back,

My prayers are with your friend that God will show her a way to get back on her feet. We all must say "there, but by the grace of God, go I". It breaks my heart to know that she is in such a bad situation. May God bless her in a special way.

what was the reason for her vehicle being towed away? And, was she, or you notified prior to this? Such a sad situation--do you have shelters in your area where she could go and feel comfortable? Prayers for all! (In our country, we should NOT have to have homeless shelters--time we took care of our own first).

Her vehicle was towed because of expired tags. Yes she had been notified. The vehicle was in her daughter's name and she thought her daughter had to be the one to go and get the new tags. Her daughter never found time to do it.

She may have to go to a shelter soon because at this time she is endangering our roof. She was staying in her vehicle at night with her dogs. Whenever anyone walked by her dogs would react. I had not known this until one morning when the police and animal control were outside with her and another lady. Seems this woman was tired of having my friends dogs bark at her every time she walked her dogs. She thought the dogs were alone in the vehicle all of the time.

Apparently the lady is out to get her. We got a notice this morning that our grass is too tall, we have noxious weeds (whatever that is) and since our upstairs neighbor has tires in the front of the house, that the tires must be removed. My sister just mowed the front yard yesterday and ran out of gas before she could finish the side or get to the back yard.

The notice is also going to the owner of the property. We may have to tell her she will have to go to a shelter and figure out something else to do with her pets. If the building manager comes around and finds her and them here i am afraid we will be kicked out. We have avoided contacting him about things because of her presence.

I will add my prayers to those of others for this family. Maybe you can do a little research on what is available in your area to help the homeless. Sometimes local churches have things they do for the homeless and maybe you can check with churches in your area.

She sounds very fussy and finicky for a homeless person. I feel sorrier for you than her, I'm afraid.
