Can one knit Argyle designs on a hand weft knitting machine? If so, how?

It can be done using the intarsia carriage.

In addition to intarsia, there are many argyle patterns available for punch card and electronic KMs

You could knit the diamond in a Fairisle and duplicate stitch the diagonal line. Either that or Intarsia as has been suggested - either way a bit of hand work involved.

Many thanks for the information. My machine is a simple version and has no intarsia carriage, only a ribber. I thought of doing it by hand but just the thought of it has put me off. I'll leave that for a very long winter. Again many thanks.
