Decided to knit an afghan for my brother and SIL for Christmas this year. Found the Soft Vines Blanket pattern somewhere (no idea where). Wanted a durable but pretty yarn but not enough in my stash for the size I wanted to make. Then at my favorite thrift shop and came across three bags of three skeins each of a no name acrylic ecru colored yarn. With a discount coupon, bought all three bags for $6.60! This took about a month and left me with about 1/2 skein left. Finished size is 68" square. There is a 5 stitch seed stitch border all around. Hope they like it!
Beautiful, excellent work, they will love it.
A beauty! A great gift and I bet they will treasure it.
