Not sure if I'm in the right section for this but as I'm only a basic learner of knitting at the moment, after two weeks of trying very hard seven days a week I finally managed to create two squares, both on circular needles of different thickness, one quite thick wool and florescent green, 30 stitches, the other on quite thick needles, 20 stitches, thicker wool, light gray, without making any mistakes and casted on and off OK too! YIPPEEDOOO!
Will do my best to post a couple of photos from my smartphone tomorrow!
Persistence and practice pays off, good for you, time to move on up!!!
Thanks very much, wendvacz, will do!
Good for you!! We look forward to seeing your photos.
Good for you. It's always good to hear that someone has climbed that mountain and is not afraid to face the next. I am happy for you.
That really is the wonder of knitting! There is always something new you can learn! Learning is one of my greatest joys in life. You get to walk on air for a while. It’s so much fun!
Good for you. Pat yourself on the back a few times, ignore people who don’t think it’s a big deal and walk on air for a while!!!
YOU DID IT!!!!
Doesn’t that feel good??!! You have many such successes ahead of you!
So good to hear. Congrats to you. No telling where this will lead to but I bet you will have a stash of yarn before long!
Congrats! Practice makes you better as most knitters will tell you there is always a mistake none of us are perfect. But it is all about relaxation, enjoyment and accomplishment!
Way to go, we'll be watching for your photo.
Woohoo! Well done you! What are you going to make with your squares?
Make a rectangle big enough to wrap around your hand, sew it up leaving a hole for your thumb and you have a fingerless mitt. Then make a second to match.
Can't wait to read about what you do next!
Congratulations! It's always fun to learn new stuff. Keep knitting, dont worry about mistakes, it's only yarn.
And HAVE FUN!!!!!
