Damnit I see a big mistake with one of the cables direction! Ugh!

It's not a mistake. It's your signature on your beautiful cables blanket. I have a signature on all my knitting, some intentional and some not so intentional.

One tiny suggestion - even though you didn't 'invite' our feedback, I hope you'll take this w/the intention it's sent -
Do you notice how the Garter St ends ripple at the base of the cables?
The cables draw in the surrounding fabric.
To eliminate this (blocking will help a small amount) either hold back a few of the sts needed for the border (subtract them from the number needed in the CO) and add them in (approx 2 to 5 or 6 sts for each cable, depending on the yarn wt and the width of the cable) in the first row of the cable.
Or simply add this number of extra sts for each cable in the 1st row or the row just before the cabling begins, at the base of each cable, and then eliminate them in the final row of the cables, before the end border.
You'll always have perfectly flat borders in hats/scarves/sweaters/blankets/etc.

Yes I did notice that! That’s great advice that I will heed in the future, thanks! I actually knit a much larger version for my befri as an xmas gift and used a 5 inch 1x1 rib at top and bottom and it looked much better than the garter st at each end.

I see nuffin wrong. I applaud your determination, I am doing something similar and feel ready to set it on fire. I must have an attack of the stupids today I am starting to hate it and it isn't fun.

Love this beautiful blanket and sweet little hat! Don't fret over a mistake. The baby will be snuggly warm and that's all that matters.
