Again, I started with an idea from a pattern, and played math with my yardage and colours to make it work.

This was a wedding gift for a nephew and bride, registered at a top-end home store. When I examined the product in person - it was shoddy and way overpriced! I bought my 100% cotton yarn at deep discount, and although total time to calculate, play with colour and rework the border, was over 75 hours, the couple’s response to the gift was worth the effort.

I only wish I had thought of finished photos before I left home! I know the bed quilt does not make a good background.

Let me know what you think!

I think you have done an excellent job. I love the colours. I usually just throw a white sheet over the doona before I take a photo, but we can still see how lovely the colours are. Well done.

You have a white sheet?? I do not have a white sheet set for our bed, though there may be a single-bed sized one (single flat, not set) hiding at the back of the linen closet.

I think it's beautiful!

I just can't make up my mind if it's knitted or crocheted.
