When I saw Dee O'Keefe's "Tendrilly" design, I was smitten (something that happens with every new DEEsign), and I was immediately stash diving looking for the "right" DK yarn. I found some lavender Rowan Felted Tweed and some soft green Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool but had a hard time deciding which to make, so decided to make the lavender one first and then the green. Sometimes it's like eating potato chips, you can't eat (or make) just one.

Using US#7 needles and knitting the larger size option, it took little over 750 yards/196 grams of the Rowan Felted Tweed (DK) and a bit over 708 yards/184 grams of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool in 9 Verdigris. I was fascinated at the difference the two took in yardage. Both knitted up beautifully, but the Felted Tweed was the softest, while the Silky Wool showed the stitch definition the best. Both blocked to 71 x 60 x 48, but the Felted Tweed relaxed a bit more than the Silky Wool and held its shape better, too.

Thank you for taking the time to look.

Thanks. You know, the more patterns we have, the more we have to keep our fingers busy, and the less trouble we get into. LOL!

"Tugboat"! What a fascinating name for a color. I can hardly wait to see it. Be sure to post it when you finish it.

Gorgeous! 😊
How long did it take you to make them as I only saw Dee’s post maybe a week ago?
