I'm tired of procrastinating my knitting. So now, I made a rule for myself. If it's on the needle for more than 20 to 30 days and it's not a gift . It will be frogged. No excuses...so far I'm following my rules.

Do you have rules you abide by when knitting?

One item at a time and it has to be completely finished before starting another. I've tried having multiple WIPs but that doesn't work for me.

Good for you. I can't say I have such fortitude. My problem for finishing a project is something else comes up that needs to be done first. So I'm last on the list. I need to make a resolution that I come first :-)

What I want, when I want, how I want, and as long as it takes, it takes. That said, I do love to finish things and get them out of my house.

Only for love...never for money. That makes it work, and I knit for pleasure.

Oh My, I recently found a WIP that has been co-opted by resident meeses...so not a Happy Camper. Reward is, to my regret ('cause I really, really like that yarn), that I can take it all away...braHA-H-H-H-HA!

Haven't yet had a serious look, but if I can wash it out and recover...I WIN...WHAT A GREAT SENSATION!

I only have a couple of wips. What they are, I haven't a clue!! They are on the shelf , in plain sight, in plastic bag with pattern, and I just ignore them. Sometimes I wonder what I started but not enough to check! OOPS! Wrong! There are 5! Oh well, who cares?! Maybe a genie will come by and do them! Yeah, sure! You should see the beautiful fabrics in my craft closet, from when I sewed...just too beautiful to give up...so, sue me!!! hahaha

Good for you! I need rules. Maybe this would be a good one to start with. Best wishes!

Rules? As long as I'm having fun with the tool and yarn in my hands, all's good. Do I have WIPs? I do, and I don't know how many. I don't even care how many there are. If I don't live long enough to finish them, some shopper at Goodwill will be delighted at finding them. No problem.

I have about 10 WIPs at all times.
During Christmas week, I try to finish them all.
Start the New Year fresh.

No rules here either. I have a shawl lounging in one of the project bags that is probaby over 10 years old, but there is no way I would frog it just because it isn’t finished yet.

Check your gauge before doing much on it
before you start doing it again. Just sayin'.
