I would like to get some feedback on my knitting.
From a scale from 1-10...1 BEING TERRIBLE TO 10 BEING I AM A MASTER.
Why i am asking is because i want to start moving to a more advance pattern
I think it looks great. Stitches are uniformed.
6 only because of the 2 strange rib stitches near the cast on - left side and the knot with the too short tails for weaving in.
Even cast on, uniform stitches, what's holding you back from trying something new? If you get into a pickle, you know where to post and KPers will rescue you. It's like knitting with a safety net, right?
I think it looks fine except for the knot joining yarns together there are a lot of ways to join yarn without knots sometimes knots will work their way out. Look up on you tube how to join yarns and a lot of different ways will show up, I like the Russian join. Otherwise I think your knitting is just fine your on your way.
Lovely even knitting on both samples. I would suggest that you leave longer tails (which should be taken to the wrong side) so that it will be easier for you to weave in.
It does look good. Weave in the knots at the bottom of the work. I give you an 8.
Your stitches look nice and even, so your tension is good. I would suggest not knotting to join the yarn, but rather leave longer ends to weave in later, or join new ball of yarn at end or beginning or row. Only you know if you are ready for a more advanced pattern. Pick a pattern and read through, if you have a good understanding of the stitches used, and the construction of your project, you are ready.
I know times have changed, but I was taught that any knot was a no no! Otherwise your knitting looks great!
I agree with the above. Very nice tension. Watch some videos on joining yarn and cast ons.
You have all the instincts of a great knitter.
I think you should always be moving on, whether it is improving your tension, learning new stitches, working with lace, cables, nupps, two-color, stranded, intarsia. I'm sure you get the message. Just keep challenging yourself and work at your own speed. Find what you like and then find another thing you like.
Soon, you will be your own worst critic. Just keep learning.
I think it looks very good, I don’t knit, I crochet, other than the knot at the bottom, I won’t judge your work. 🙂
