Does anyone know of a pattern for knitting - or anything - a pelican? I have been hunting for several months, and still cannot find one.

I replied to your first post but didn't hear from you perhaps you didn't see. Butterick patterns has an old pattern 4311 for a toy pelican. Perhaps this is not what you want because it is a toy. Please respond with what you are looking for... realistic or toy.

My preference is for a realistic pelican. I have a pattern for a "toy-appearance" pelican that I received yesterday. If you know of a realistic pelican, that would be helpful. Meanwhile, I will be doing the toy that I have. Thank you.

I have started one pattern that I was given. It was to be in yarn, but I wanted it smaller, so I am using crochet cotton. Due to my many responsibilities, I haven't gotten it completed. It will be smaller than the directions say simply because I am using smaller materials.
