I just went to Michaels yesterday and bought a ball of Lily Sugar and Cream Scrubby yarn. Has anyone else ever seen it or used it? I can't find any patterns for it. It is flat with a little uneven edge. From the name, I was thinking it would be used for kitchen scrubbies but there was no pattern on the ball band and nothing was on the Lily website about the yarn.

never heard of it but am going to be on the look out for it now. I would love to have a scrubby that does not need tulle or netting to get the scrubbyness

This is new to me. I don't do a lot with the cotton yarns though, so I may have just missed it.

yes, I saw that too but kind of expensive. I also noticed that there wasn't a pattern attached to the yarn.

I saw it at Michaels yesterday and just guessed that folks who make scrubbies would use it for that purpose. I don't make them but a lot of people do. For me, it's a new item but maybe not for others.

I went to Lily's website and didn't see any "Scruby" yarn. I'm very curious.

I saw this at one of the Michaels near my home -- the other two didn't carry it. The saleslady said it was new and came up on the register as "seasonal". There was a white daisy with green leaves that had the yellow scrubby yarn as the center of the daisy. Absolutely adorable! No pattern was given, so I emailed Lily to find out if they could provide me with the instructions. Haven't heard back yet, but will let you know when I do!
Found it strange that the scrubby yarn isn't on their website...
I bought the yellow scrubby yarn -- used my 50% off coupon, so it was only $2.00. I don't think it takes that much yarn to do the center of the daisy.

It must be very new as I was at Michaels on Saturday and that location didn't have anything like that. Can you post a picture of it? Please?

Here is the response I got from Lily yarn, asking for advice and the pattern instructions for the scrubbie they had as a sample at Michaels:
Hi Noreen,
All of Lily's Sugar 'n Cream yarns are 100% cotton. This places them in
the #4 category of yarns, or worsted weight. Worsted weight is a great
weight to work with for a number of project, especially winter
accessories (scarves, mittens, hats) and kitchen dishcloths.
Most projects list what weight of yarn is necessary so you can pair your
yarn and projects properly.

I hope this helps!

So, you can see, they really didn't answer my question! I'll try and remember to take a picture of the scrubbie yarn when I get home from work tonight. It looks like the other sugar 'n cream yarn from a distance, but up close, you can tell it is different (smaller size skein).

I bought some the other day as well... I haven't been able to find a pattern either! There was a finished sunflower that used the scrubby cotton in the middle they did almost a picot stitch for the scrub part of the dishcloth...
Hope to find a pattern soon tho!
