Yeap. http://www.etsy.com/listing/91867152/knit-scarf-ruffle-flamenco-can-can I liked doing it. It is quick and easy - and, as you can see, very effective. Go for it, give the yarn a try. This i, by the way, from one skein only.

I have not used this brand, but this type. i have made hundreds of scarves with yarn I purchase from http://www.beadadyxyarn.com the scarves are so easy and work up fast. The pattern I received upon request with one of my purchased is for crochet, which I prefer and is much thinner (better for spring and summer use). I am able to crochet 4 scarves from one skein and since I sell them at craft shows, it is a great item at an affordable price.

I've just spent the last hour on the beadadyxyarn site. It is about the same as the yarn paradise site, but I am confused about the shipping charges. According to the shipping calculator, the charge will be $8.90, but the charge on my shopping cart is over $52. Is the location of this site in NJ?
Tyratim, where did you get the pattern for the crocheted ruffle scarf?

I've made a ruffle scarf using Katia Triana yarn which is very similar. It came out great-- can't wait to make another, but my LYS has the yarn on back order!! It's very popular.

I have the yarn, (got it from Yarn Paradise), but have not made one yet. There seems to be a difference of opinion among my friends. Some say to go into each space, and others say that you should skin one space. What do you do?

I know the feeling. I sometimes get lost there. There is so much to look at and then when you try to pick out what you want, Oh So Many choices! If you are on the wholesale site - packs of 4 -

http://beadadyx.onlineyarnstore.com

i believe that is shipped direct from the manufacturer. And yes the shipping does add up but if you figure out how much total per skein, it is really a great price. Especially since I can get all of my yarn shopping done there and don't have to run around to all of the stores to find they are out of stock. I have given up on that.

If you are on the retail site -

http://www.beadadyxyarn.com

single skeins, that is shipped from NJ. And the thing that touches my heart is that all of the proceeds goes to missions.

If you want the crocheted pattern, you can request it from them when you place your order and they will send it with your yarn or email it to you. It is super easy, I can make on in about 15 minutes (10 if my hands are really cooperating). My daughter and I have contests. It is kinda fun to see who is faster. Usually I am, but I have just a few year more experience.

I'm sorry, but I did not keep a copy of what I was planning to order. I do remember that the shipping was more than the price of the yarn I was going to purchase. I did email the company about the discrepancy and the answer was that the lower price is for single skeins and the much higher price is for the "wholesale" or multiple skeins of the same yarn.

If you want to buy the pack of skeins, it is much, much cheaper with iceyarns. In fact, it is cheaper to buy the 400g worth of skeins (like, 4) than to buy just 2 from this site...

Millie, There are several different yarns to make the ruffle scarf. Red Heart Sashay, Sundance Frill, Starbella & another one that would probably pop up if you type in any of the others.
I have made several & use only 4 stitches so they aren't too big around & bulky. I have gone into every space most of the time & that seems to work for my taste.
