This was in the craftgossip email today and I had to share.
I know I would never have the patience (or the ability now) to do something this intricate
This is an interesting site.http://charlottebailey24.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/paperclip-parrot.html
Because it is not knit/crochet, not sure if I should have put it in chit chat but it is still a link and I know some of you do embroidery too, so...here it is - enjoy
Very creative use of paperclips. I cannot imagine covering them in those little bitty stitches.
me either. I do not have the patience. It is beautiful though.
That's amazing. I like it. So life like.
Truly beautiful, would love to see it in the colours of the Aussie galah, pinks and greys.x.
Beautiful, talented people in this world!
Thanks for sharing this. I think we all appreciate the craft expertise that went into making it, and it is beautiful.
I'm so glad you posted this. It's always inspiring to see someone else's handwork, no matter what the meduim. And besides, I am a bird nut!
I also do all types of embroidery..for as many years as knitting and crocheting...around 50ish years...
I can appreciate the tedious way she did this with paper clips..
Silk Ribbon and Crewel are my most favorite embroidery.
That is so unique. rlmayknit
