Why Would You Ever Want to Pay For Knitting and Crochet Patterns or Lessons When You Can Get All That for Free?
Read this:

If you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced, or a professional knitter, then the benefits of signing up for our free weekly knitting e-mail newsletter are:

• We cover hand knitting, machine knitting, and crochet.

• Each week you'll be receiving new tips and techniques.

• Daily, you'll be receiving a knitting message board digest with the latest knitting pictures, discussions and patterns.

• If you ever have a question or need help, you can always ask, and we'll cover your question in the following newsletter issue.

• Discover the fastest way to knit (and to crochet) a sock... while keeping the perfect heel and making sure the sock fits (not many knitters know this).

• Find out how to figure out how much yarn you need for a pattern if the pattern doesn't specify it (works for any project, a real life-saver sometimes).

• Learn how to pick up a dropped stitch, even from several rows below. It happens to absolutely everyone at some point. But don't worry, there exists a really simple fix.

• And if you ever run out of yarn, find out how to join any yarn in the middle of any project.

• If you can't find the pattern that you need, or if you don't know which pattern would be most appropriate for a specific project, then you can ask our other users to help you figure it out. We even have a dedicated "Pattern Requests" section on our website that's all about finding new patterns.

• The same goes for any problems and questions about specific techniques. We have experienced users who are always helping those in need with just the right advice.

• And of course, as I said it's all completely FREE!

• Let me repeat that. Since for some reason a lot of people contact us asking if the membership is really free: we are a social website for knitters and crocheters, so we don't sell anything, and we don't charge any fees. It's as simple as that.

Enter your name and e-mail address below, and you'll be instantly added to our knitting mailing list distribution. Right away, you'll get access to more knitting-related material (pictures, patterns, tips) than contained in all knitting books and magazines you could ever buy. And you'll get all that for free.

You'll be able to talk and share ideas with more knitters than you could meet if you attended all the largest trade shows. And you'll be able to do all that without leaving your house!

Don't delay! Join the best knitting and crochet community on the Internet.

It's FREE, and you'll receive my first e-mail right away. Also, you'll get instant access to the most recent topics on our knitting forum: hundreds of great tips from other knitters.

Oh Lidka,
That is so mean. What a nasty thing to do to you. When I bought the pattern, I made mine for the 4-H horse club. But I would never sell them as my own. I donated the ones I made. And sis not give away the pattern.

I am very sorry for you. You work so very hard designing wonderful things.

Dear Linda,

Yes, hard work...
It takes many many hours to make and write a pattern...
And I think the most important thing is to bring an idea/design...

I started to do this (write my ideas..) when I found the KP website and wonderful friends here in KP who support me all the time...
Especialy Mummy Jan (Superjan), who makes all the English corrections of all my patterns and who brought quieter time for our usual poor life...

And I ONLY WOULD LIKE TO FEED MY KIDS ENOUGH AND PAY OUR BILLS WITH NOW DELAYS (= NO sanctions..).

We live very modestly and we do not need too much for our life...

Love Lidka

Her ears are not done nearly as nicely as yours. Have you tried to leave a comment in her guest book? I see that there are not entries so this must be a pretty new site. She is not selling the pattern - but the product. If you have copyrighted your pattern, I would maybe send a note telling her that she is infringing and see if you get a response.... Sorry.....

I sent a short e-mail to the Lady.
I know she sells just finished product, but I´m very sad for that she writes HOW she got the pattern...
(She writes there: "After many requests to crochet a mini horse ear net, and after many hours of experimenting, I have finally done it. Thanks to my model MAX helping me countless times." )

But it does not matter.

Anything bad brings anything good...

I hope I will wake next time up and I will find a way, how to feed my family and pay for our bills with NO sanctions...
I´m sure I need to make a new "publicity" for my work (not only here in KP or Etsy or Craftsy).
But the HEAD what I still miss is TIME for the publicity or so...

With Love Lidka

That is terrible. I hope no one buys from her after she stole your pattern. She sells them expensive too.

I am soooooo sorry for what has happened to you. This is sooooooo unfair to someone that is only trying to live a modest decent life and feed their family. It seems that things like this ruins it for everyone. I do not own a horse nor have I been around 1 for many years. I loved your work and admired what you designed anyway. Please keep us posted on how things work out for you. We would love to see you here on the forum. :-(

These are so ingenious and fight for your rights. I love them even though I don't have any horses but may make some in the future for some friends' horses.

Your email must have made an impact, I clicked on the link and can't find any now on her site.
Hopefully she thought better of it.

Hi Lidtka, ( and fellow Kpers)
I think this has been settled.
I have received an email from the lady and I think the issue has been resolved.
Thanks to all,
Linda

You must have put the fear of litigation in her. Her guest book is now completely empty! Nothing at all! Bravo!

I don't see any horse ear nets on her site. She must have seen the light and removed them. Good for you, I love your design.

I looked at her site last night after you posted this and there was a whole load of pictures. Today I can't find them. Your email did make an impact. Well done.

Dear Friends,

the Lady started to be fair and she informed me in her e-mail:

"I would appreciate if you would inform your Friends that I have removed all the ear net info off my web site and to stop the harassment. I have done nothing wrong , but I do apologize for the wording that insinuates that I am the designer, which clearly I am not and never claimed to be."

So, I answered her this:

"Dear Irene,

thank you very much for your appologize and fair play for now.

The HEAD problem from my look was, that You presented my pattern as YOURS.

I cannot prevent anyone to sell finished products made by my patterns.

This is impossible in fashion world...

Thank you again for your comprehending.

Kindly Regards,

Lidka"
