When I'm not knitting or beading, I enjoy cross-stitch. So many patterns to choose from that it makes it hard to decide. I did see one that I liked, except that I'll change the color a bit, to fit in with a coastal theme or the color of my furnishings. The pattern (and so many more) are FREE.

I enjoy cross-stitch, too, in between knitting and crochet. I've done lots of designs, the biggest being a piece about 5' long that shows every species of penguin in the world (18 species).
My last one was an alphabet sampler. The letters were green with a ginger and white cat climbing over each letter. It was for my grand-daughter in South Wales, UK. She has a dippy ginger and white cat called Gethin.

Wow, 5' is something. I did an Irish poem for my father that showed the undulating green hills of Ireland and the sheep, bogs, etc. He loved it and hung it on the wall by his favorite reading chair. My mother has it by her bed now that he is no longer alive. When she eventually leaves this earth, I shall inherit it back.

Beautiful, I use to do a lot of cross stitch, but haven't done any in quite some time due to this arm not working. I have a big collection of kits and booklets that I never got to make, which will be posted on other groups since they can't be posted here on the forum.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.

Cross stitch is my thing, too. Many thanks for the link. Your stitching looks so neat and the picture you have chosen suits the coastal theme perfectly!

I do like this pattern! I hadn't noticed it, but I haven't been through all her patterns. She has some really magnificent patterns there.

What lovely work. I used to do a lot of embroidery in the past but now its knitting and using my sewing machine.
Perhaps I will have a go at cross stitching as I do see such lovely pictures on here.

Thanks for sharing the link. I used to do cross stitch all the time then got back into knitting. Would like to do one this summer for a change of pace. Hope you post your finished work when you are done. :-)

Maybe you can sell your kits on eBay. I know others do. If you look at the listings, you can get an idea of what to sell them for. Ebay is very simple to use and you can get rid of unwanted/unused craft supplies that way and make some money for other things you do want.

Thanks for your suggestion, I don't use eBay or other sites. Don't know anything about posting on eBay, and I am just trying to continue selling and cleaning out all of the many different things I have held onto through the years from all of the different crafts I did. I am slowly making a dent, just so much stuff beside all of my yarns, books and booklets.
One day I will have all of these cross stitch things, sewing and quilt books, fabric, trims and many other things I still have hopefully gone. I have given a lot away but can't afford to give away all of it, just trying to get some of the many $'s spent on all of it. I have given some people here on the forum who have requested a link to where my son puts pictures for me, since I can't do it all myself with these injuries. If you would like to take a look and would like the link send me a PM and I will send it to you.

Thanks again for your suggestions I appreciate it.

Beautiful! I love cross stitch in frames, but I don't have the patience to cross stitch. I'm lucky I can finish a knitted project.
