Thank you. I wish grandma

might take a day to dry.

I know I have used both wrinkled and unwrinkle yarn and found for socks and such it does make a difference.

I made a cowl, gifted it, and now would like to make myself the same one.

My yarn is skinnier than called for. It calls for dk. How to intake the garment the same size using smaller needles and thinner yarn?

My lys is a 30 minute drive. I would love to frequent it more but due to distance and her prices, not unreasonable probably, but more for a very experienced knitter/crocheter with lots of yarn knowledge. She is sweet, nice, but I always feel a bit out of my element there. Again, probably me, not her. She did inform me, that I am a continental knitter, and I apparently was knitting inside out. I know, it took me a while to figure out what she meant, but I now knit right side out so others know what they are looking at when they see me knit. Lol.

I am going again this Tuesday. Ya know, the more I think of it. The more I think it's probably me. Mom of 4, one income, she probably is priced right on, it's my pocket book that isn't!!!
isnt

Never would have thought to to knit a mat for our dogs or cat. What a wonderful idea. I want more cats now, but you knitting, that is very nice.

Definitely was yarn weight. Thank you. It is for a "dickie"

I grew up calling them that. I think they are cowels now. It has ribbing up the neck, k1p1.

Almost done with it. The bottom, (not the neck, part that goes under coat or shirt) is curling.

Do you have any suggestions on fixing that?

I did cast on, then k3p1, first round, k2, p1, next round and k1, k2 p1 repeated until round r, which is all knit, the remainder is knit with k3 or k3tbl for decreases.

My thought is just to thread a needle with the yarn and tack it loosely a couple rows up on the underside. Picture a big,zag stitch on the underside. It would probably work. But ... thinking you would have better suggestions. Thank you all.

Believe it or not there are a lot of people with big heads, and some women with very full curly hair. I happen to have a itty bitty head and end up in the smallest adult size glasses and never in my life did any store bought baseball hat fit me. Donate it. Keep it. But be proud of yourself for finishing your project. I struggle to finish things. Think it's boredom. Who knows.

Well, that definItely makes me feel better!!

I will do my gauge check, and as long as it matches up, I should be ok right? Can you tell I am a bit apprehensive?
