    I return again and again to Sockmatican for his tutorial on casting on for toe up socks. If I knit more socks it would probably make it into my long term memory, but I am an occasional sock knitter. No sure about other tutorials he does...

    Purl Soho has a lovely all cotton DK, made a shawl last year, good drape. It is their own brand.

    buying fabric untouched can be tricky. If it is from a name you recognize then you are safe. I have always had good service from Fabric.com.

    There is nothing like a local yarn shop. I try to support mine as much as possible. But, when traveling, going to new shops is so much fun. I have been to the Yarn Barn and enjoyed it very much. There are some lovely shops between Georgia and Idaho.

    After soaking in one of the wool washes, it becomes much softer.

    Put a safety pin under the mistake so you don't go to far. Turn off the tv, get some good light, and fix it. Once you get going, it won't take long.

    Going to the Spring Fling the end of April in Loveland, Colorado. This one is so popular you have to put your name in a hat, but my SIL, daughter and I got approved. This is by The Loopy Ewe, love this shop.
