About user:
Occupation: Admin Officer Interests: Genealogy, most crafts - sewing, knitting, crochet, jewellery making Biography: Married with 3 adult sons and one granddaughter aged 14mths.

I have always been handy with my hands. I learnt to sew in school and aunts on both sides of my family taught me to crochet. My dad's sister used to give me patterns to test me (schoolteacher) and my mum's was always there to check what I had done and pinched my patterns.
Knitting was self taught. I regret is not persevering with the Singer knitting machine my dad gave me when I was in my 20's. I was far too young to appreciate the machine even though it was secondhand BUT I am a better knitter for not having it.

When my third son was young, I went back to College and studied patternmaking and grading gaining industry recognized certs in these as well as garment assembly. Really enjoyed patternmaking and grading. I had always made most of my own clothes as well as my boys and their school uniforms. This led me to working at the local school as uniform shop convenor for over 15 years.

I have finally run out of friends with girls who need formal dresses made. Now I am at the other end of the scale making little size 1 dresses and tops. Website: not set
