Lion lovey (K+C)
Another little lion item to go with the one I made the other day. I had some yarn left over so decided to make this little lovey blanket to go with the cuddly lion. This is for a baby shower gift for a work colleague. Still got enough yarn to finish a small cuddly lion, hopefully this weekend.
10 Stitch Afghan Questions
I want to make a 10-stitch Afghan, but need some advice.
Does a crocheted one use more yarn than a knitted one?
If I want to make it rectangular, rather than square, should I do 20 ridges rather than 10 to start with? I don’t want it too long, just a little longer than it will be wide, what I would consider a regular-size afghan size.
Mens raglan sleeved bulky pattern
Have any of you machine knitters made a raglan sleeved sweater for your man? I can't seem to find a bulky pattern.
Tunisian Crochet vs Knitting vs Knooking
So... Over the weekend, I scored this awesome deal on some Tunisian Crochet Hooks. I am so excited to use it. I have been crocheting for about 6 years now but to this day, I still don't know how to knit. I've seen some tutorials on Tunisian crochet and can't wait to get started.
On top of that, I also recently encountered another method called "Knooking" where you knit with a crochet hook. Would I be able to achieve this with a Tunisian Crochet Hook?
I'd love to be able to achieve the look of stockinette stitches but I don't know how to knit or whether I'd ever be able to pick up knitting.
What is your take on these methods?
How do the outcome of the fabric differ between these methods?
Is Tunisian stockinette thicker than knitted stockinette?
Would I be able to get away with never needing to learn how to knit?
Thanks in advance for all your advice!
Find knit bar
I have a fine knit bar- solid plastic with one edge angled- it came with used standard brother machine. No matter how I try it doesn’t fit in space between gate pegs. Shouldn’t it slide in and not have to be “severely crammed” I’m beginning to think it doesn’t belong to this machine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Red heart super saver yarn sale
Just checked my email. Herrschners is selling 3 skeins of yarn for 5 bucks. Over a 1000 yards. Lots of colors to choose from.
Two More For The Road
In my ongoing journey of making an afghan for each of my family and friends, these are the two newest finished projects. The Seahawks afghan is for my teenage great grandson who lives in California but is a dedicated Seattle fan, and the other one is for his mother. Hope they like them!
I used Paintbox Simply Chunky yarn for the Seahawks afghan (no particular pattern) and the other was made using "Fields and Furrows Afghan" pattern by Crochet 365, Knit Too. The yarn used in this case was Caron Cakes.
First Market Bag (c)
My friend cut out and sent me a patten from a magazine she had because she knows I knit and crochet. Took me about 3 hours start to finish. I'm sure subsequent ones will be much faster. I like that the handles are not separate to have to attach.

Need left handed crochet help
My daughter in law wants me to make her "crochet tie strap crop top" (for the frills.com). The tutorial shows only right handed way to do the foundation half double crochet. Any advice?
