Look what one of my Brother's carer's left for me.
My Brother has Alzheimer's but I know he always remembers me knitting, well & our Mom.

He must have told one of his night time carers, he has two.

This is the 2nd parcel one carer has left. The 1st one when straight up to the Hospital as it just happened I was going anyway to see my Consultant. These will have to wait now, either for a special trip or till December till the beginning of December for my next appointment.

I provided a lot of the wool but another day time carer supplied the buttons. Albert tells me he is so lucky, not only where he lives but that I don't forget him.....as if I could, I love him!!!

Thanks for looking, sorry about the photo's but we are having a few lovely sunny days in the UK where I live !!

G Carriage KG93 help
Hello,

So I am new to machine knitting and now that I have figured out using the K carriage I thought I would try out the G carriage

I am using a Brother KH940 and the G carriage KG93

I am following the instructions for cast on but strangely the machine is skipping every seventh stitch when casting on. From what I have read it seems g-carriage can be very finicky and tend to drop stitches if all the needles are not perfect...but I just thought it was strange that it was every seventh stitch like it was doing a pattern..

any advice is greatly appreciated!

Pattern Instructions
A cardigan pattern I want to make says "MK" and defines it as K1,p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1 all into next st, then pass 6th,5th,4th,3rd,2nd and 1st sts. over 7th st. How on Earth do you do this? Thank you!

New spam alert
I am not sure if this is in the right place, but this is, I feel, a particularly dangerous spam. I have received one email and one text, supposedly from Bell saying they are refunding me some money. It isn't for large amounts. The first one I got was an email and it looked exactly like an etransfer from a bank. I was a bit suspicious, because I didn't know why Bell would refund me cash, when I owe money on my account. I didn't hit the link but copied and pasted it and it did still look like an etransfer from Bell until I went into Bell to see if I got the money and noticed that part of the link which on the real Bell was '.bell.' and on the phoney one it was .bel. This spam would have had my bank information because it takes you straight to your bank. Please if you get a text or email supposedly giving you a refund from a company, QUESTION IT AND DO NOT ACCEPT THE MONEY.

Grandma can you make me...
My 7yr. old Grandson plays basketball at school
and asked me if I could make him a basketball rug.

Of course I had to make one for each Grandchild.

There's a basketball, baseball, softball,
Ghostbuster ghost and Balloons from the movie Up.
