the yarn I have is as follows: 10 skeins 100g (each approx 186yds, 18sts & 26 rows + 10cm/4in 5mm/US 8 needles
will I have enough to make the project?
Christmas Doll Dresses for GD
My GD requested some dresses for her Elsa doll whose dress got torn. This is a 14 inch doll. I used a couple of patterns neither of which fit well without altering. For both dresses I only used the pattern information for the first few rows.
Knit dress. Used pattern by Janice Helge on Ravelry for Les Cherie’s Doll which she modified from #368 stickatillbarbie’s pattern top.
Crochet dress. Used pattern H4H Sleeve Dress/Top by Vicki Johnson
Oh, Wise KP'S...
The only thing I hate about knitting a pullover is after picking up is the knitting of the neckline. Is there any law against me knitting the neckline piece with the called for number of stitches and then sewing it on like I would sleeves? With the rest of the sweater hanging off of the work; it is so heavy and awkward to work with that I almost loose my religion before I get it done. If my suggested solution is not allowed, I will mix myself a fuzzy naval and pray for patience or a lot of orange juice when I start my next neckline. Thanks.
Fitting a hat
How can you tell if a hat is going to fit?
Sometimes shortly after casting on I will try it and it seems huge but upon completion it was small.
I'm having a problem with needle length when using circular needles. How do you know what length to use when making socks or hat's. I have used double point's & don't mind them but have had stitches drop off when putting them down & not paying attention. I have used circulars for straight knitting but not in the round.
Snowman Stocking Crochet
Just completed this Stocking
It is a paid pattern from e-pattern central.com
Mitten tree donations
Part of donation to church kitten tree. Decided to make lined mittens this year as the single didn't seem warm enough. All done in Brother KX350. Not sure kids today even wear home made mittens so stayed with the smaller sizes.
