The pattern I used was from Simply Knitting magazine, Summer 2013, and they used 6 ply, but I used DK (8ply) and slightly smaller DPNs (3.75mm instead of the usual 4mm) to get a slightly denser fabric.
The socks are very soft and warm, as I used Bendigo Woollen Mills Milky Way (80% wool, 20% milk fibre) in Jupiter. This yarn is machine washable.
