I started off with round fruits, then pear shaped which of course included squash n pumpkins. The kids threw them in their pot to cook and said, we have no meat! Burgers, chicken legs, sausages and fish were born. Then came the little things from scrap yarns like mushrooms, lettuce ,cheese slices, jalapeño pepper! Watching the kids cook while I did the REAL cooking was so cool. By the time they were 6-8, they had big interest in helping prepare their own meals, knew to appreciate and love fruits n veggies and didn't crave CANDY and hostess garbage food. All because...we knit n crochet!!!

I see!!! So now THAT'S what's in store for me, too. Maybe I didn't make yarn edibles, I think I created a monster, instead!!! LOL!

They are a lot of fun to make too. You'll get addicted 'creating' food! I think I have a slice of pizza around here too. Was making 6 slices that fit on a crochet pan..haha.
