I love those rainbow babies! Have fun!
Oh, Donna, lovely yarn. I think you will enjoy knitting that sweater. Finished all my homework for my second sock class( toe up) on Monday, and made a small pasta salad and then put an apple crumble with blueberries in the oven. Will work on grands sock tomorrow. Check in later chicks. :-D
hope you are all well!
i am introducing myself into glass etching today....by turning my more interesting jars and bottles into canisters, lol....i have to admit..i am struggling with getting my work even across...but at least my pantry will be organized when i am done!
so i have a knitting question for you...i stumbled upon a sale this week...some very pretty jeweled pins at stienmart..BUT
I am afraid to use them as shawl pins on my handknitted lace...i worry that i will snag and ruin all my hard work...am i being rediculous? what do you think? the pins are all shaped like hummingbirds, stemmed flowers etc...so many sharp edges...I will be back by tomorrow so i didnt buy any yet...
Good morning Friends! I slept in I stayed up way to late last night but once I started the shawl I didn't want to put it down I love seeing the pattern come to life.
Hope your Hubby's are on the mend Barb and Val. Donna the alpaca Farm sound fun your hubby's jumper will keep you busy.
Osg I think anything can make a lovely shawl pin it should be ok in lace as long as doesn't have too many bits to snag the lace and depending on how fine and light the lace is if the pin is too heavy it won't sit nice.
Hello CWS. I got a lot done today. All the laundry except a load of towels is done. that includes stripping the beds.
Mike is doing much better, thank you everyone.
OSG, I think almost anything can be a shawl pin. Just be careful when you put it on so you place it in a spot it won't snag.
This is what I have been working on.
the color is beautiful! Love it!
The yarn ia Atlante made in Italy for Naturally 100% Bamboo the colour is Teal.
is the bamboo yarn soft? I haven't used it yet.
Yes, it has a really nice drape to it and a bit of a glossy finish It doesn't bounce back like wool, but isn't as heavy as cotton.
Love hwt ayou have done of the shawl, when do we see th photos of the cardigan? DH seeing the Doc on friday by which time all the blood results will be through
Yoday I will be strating on the rainbow babies, they look so cute
Ok here is my Ta dah moment, the cardi does still need buttons. It fits lovely so thankyou all for all the chat and conversations over the past year I have learnt so much every time some one has asked a question especially Thanks Bonnie for sharing you expertise.
good morning chicks. Tracy that cardi is beautiful. You did a fantastic job. Your stitches are beautiful. Hope that everyone is well and that everyone has a great day. Will check in later....heading for the showers. :-D
Tracy you have done a wonderful job in knitting that cardigan, its"out of this world" well done
Thanks The colours in the yarn came out more stripy than I thought it would, I would have prefered something more like the teal yarn I am using at the moment but it has grown on me and looks much better blocked than it did as you see the stitches.
