Bonnie the worst thing about the storms here was the wheelie bins were blown all over the street, took me most of the day to find ours and the neighbours, we truly got off lightly thanks for asking
3rd January is the day My DH is due to have surgery on his hand , will be thinking of you, hope your DH has a straightforward post op time, with no big challenges. Like last time

Glad you weren't harder hit with the storms.

Jan 3 must be a good day for surgery! We'll be praying for both of them. Is your husband's carpal tunnel surgery?

Hello CWS!
Tracy, thank you for the Christmas Card. I haven't even started to write mine yet. I usually have them all mailed by now.

I'm thanking God I have been feeling a bit more like myself today. Got some work done around the house, did the laundry, so no laundry tomorrow! And I did a little knitting, which I will continue with shortly.

I hope everyone's surgeries go well. My daughter will have surgery on the 31st of January on her left foot. She had the right foot done in October. Her feet never formed correctly and she got huge bunions. Her foot look like something out of a horror movie after surgery, but it was needed. The cut the bunion out, broke every toe and added rods in them and stitched them up. I have a pic, but a bit graphic to post. Anyway, Jan will be the same surgery for the left foot.

Hello ladies.. I have been freezing my .... off today.. so cold here and of course we are too proud (or whatever) to turn the heat up...
Bits, good to hear you are out of the hospital and on the mend..
Barb, so good to see you starting to come and visit more often.. we missed you.
Val and everyone else, stay warm.. don't let the crazy weather get to you.. we are expecting snow sometimes this week.. crazy huh? Snow in the desert????

Chugging along on this shawl of my mom's, not even sure how it's gonna look.. kinda patchy I think.. but at least it will keep her warm.

I was in Costco 2 days ago and saw a pair of boots that I was sure would be great for my DD in Germany.. So I got them.. then I saw a pair of slippers that seemed all warm and yummy and got them for her.. Then I went straight to the post office and fit it all into one of those flat rate boxes... and shipped it off to her.. That was really cool to do.. I hope she gets them quick.. they had a big snow storm and she sure can use those boots.

I can sure use those boots!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone undergoing surgery in Jan..

It's frigging cold here too. Suppose to get some snow tonight, but no one can seem to agree how much. So far I've gotten a coating to 5". You would think with todays technology they could predict a little better than that!

weird...the pix of georgie didn't post
oh well

bits, hope you stay fever free and are on the mend

glad you are safe and warm val...but so sorry about your tablet

will be praying for all our loved ones as they go thru their surgeries

trace, thank you so much for the card... I just opened it tonite

yes, it is cold here...but I have FINALLY gotten over a three day headache...when the temps do a 20 or more degree dance, I suffer tremendously....

tonite was ham, blueberry buttermilk pancakes, and scrambled eggs....easy peasy warm comfort food for a cold nite

.....and enough coffee to keep me up knitting into a couple of good movies

yes it is carpal tunnel , had it injected 18 months ago but now three fingers are numb, not much fun when you play jazz.
I know he isn't having major surgery like your DH but Maurice is 80 and has a few other problems
Glad you are enjoying the chocolate, it was fun looking for all the goodies
