Hi ladies,I wonder if anyone can help me please. My laptop is windows xp and had to take it back to factory settings ,because now windows updates have finished I am unable to get adobe or use pdf..I did a search on Google and found one but my antivirus came up with a threat. Also now when I plug my kindlefire HD via laptop it isn't recognised.I have tried everything I can think of to no avail, and I have lots of beautiful knitted patterns I want to print out and can't..I wonder if anyone else has had the same problems...

You need to have Windows 7 or 8 installed. My local computer shop will do it for $50. Have you tried calling around in your area?

I had the same problem and had to buy a new laptop, this one has windows 8 on it and seems to have a mind all of its own. I am wondering how long before this one bites the dust. If the same thing happens with windows again I'm buying an Apple next time.

My sister emails her stuff to me and I print it out.
You can also save it to a thumb drive so you will not loose it. Email to someone or go to a library to print the info you need.

If you are considering going to Windows 10 I'd suggest doing a lot of research. I find it much more difficult to use.
