A number of specialty programs and drivers are not compatible with Windows 10 and their programmers are not planning on updating them. My beading software, software for older sewing machines, some of the financial softwares, and Filemaker are examples. If you want to "go back" each of them has to be reloaded. Cannot guarantee that ALL the data will still be available. My friend downloaded 10 and tried to go back. Her computer spent a week with Geek Squad and she has spent a few weeks reloading and rebuilding.

I downloaded windows 10 and had a nightmare with my touchpad. It kept freezing. I went to PC world and they said that there were no drivers included in the windows 10 download for the keypad and none available. I've switched back!

No problem here. Printers worked fine too. Can't say I like it or not. It is what it is.

I changed to Windows 10 from Windows 8 which I liked. Windows 10 is very user friendly - no problems with printer to take pictures off my laptop and send it to print downstairs...drives hubby crazy when he hears it go off in my office and nobody is supposed to be there!!! LOL!!

I have an HP all-in-one and love it. Does all I need: I can make DVDs or CDs on it..the thing/tray is on the side. The screen is much more fun to view. Not as portable as my old laptop, but then I do not need to take it away from where it sits anyway. Check them out mine at Best Buy a couple of years ago.

If you have Windows 10 and are having problems with it or if you are considering switching to it, go to this website:

place your cursor on Windows and select Windows 10 from the drop down. You will then be in a "simulation" of Windows 10 and can experiment/find out how to do things with that operating system. The simulation will NOT make any changes on your system/computer but will guide you on how to utilize the functions of that operating system, including security settings, installation of printers/faxes, etc..

I like win 7. Why change?

It must have some advantages. My grandson is using it at school and is trying to convince me to update. I think I'd like to stay with what I have until the time comes I have to get a new computer and it will come already installed or when Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7--which happened with previous versions of Windows.

I to will stay with Windows 7 as long as possible. I get fed up with working out the kinks and problems when something new comes along again. You should be able to get Windows 7 back.

You'll have to download the new drivers for your printer, if its not that old. and windows tells you some programs will have to be reinstalled through their apps.
I've downloaded it on our desktop computer and my laptop and no real problems other then updating drivers for external things.Like cameras, his printer.
I went from windows 7 and hubbys went from 8.1
and we turned off sharing.

We're not making the move to 10 either. Maybe after it's been out for a year or more.
