Yet more views of Singapore.
Our daughter loved Singapore and she stayed 4 nights there after the Marina Bay Sands Hotel had not long been opened. She had one night there just to say she had stayed in that hotel, the rest of the time she stayed in the cheapest but still nice, accommodation she could find.
I am so happy that KPers are visiting Singapore which is just a red dot on the world map . I live here , 20 years and counting and really love it here . You are visiting at a good time as its during Chinese New Year celebrations . A visit to Chinatown to see the lighting and decorations should be a must see . Do lmk if you need any help or information from me . Have a great holiday
Thank you will keep you in mind.
looks like Hong Kong...skyscrapers as far as you can see.
I believe Singapore has the reputation of being a very safe place for anyone to visit - and I have also heard how spotlessly clean it is.
It is very safe and so clean. This is my third visit and I have never seen any litter at all.
My cousin and his wife lived there in 1966,(Navy) there son was born there October 14th, a week after my son was born in Hong Kong (army)My Mum was so pleased I had the baby first,I was the first grandchild, so my son was the first GGS,
my dad was stationed in Singapore when we were young and at that time I believe the tallest building was the Seven Stories Hotel..so nice to see recent pics
Lovely city, enjoyed my time there and felt very safe
I'm terrified of tall buildings... could never live there!
