Hi dear Kpers,
I have been trying to find baby yarn with coral and blue in it--an ombre-type. I have not been very successful with my searches.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I could look for or find such a yarn?

Thank you for your help.

Dianne

Sounds pretty. We knitters come up with the colors that work in our lives. Unfortunately the yarn manufacturers don't have our insight! Good luck!

Close, but it has some yellow in it too. http://www.ravelry.com/stash/search#colorway=Tutti+Frutti&photo=yes&view=thumbs&yarn-link=lion-brand-ice-cream

It may not work the way you'd like it to but I have on occassion knit with two strands together, different colors... it creates a blended look if they are the same weight or if one is say DK and one is sport, then it has a different effect. I know what you mean when you get a color combination in your head and it won't go away.

What about Etsy. I know there are indie dyers that will dye to order. Probably a bit pricey though....

James C. Brett Baby Marble DK - 13 available from Deramores.com is a very pale coral with blue. It's called "marble" rather than "ombre" but it is coral and blue. That's the only one I could find unless you will settle for aqua blue that I saw in several yarns with other colors mixed in.

Thank you Dcsmith77.

I looked at that yarn at dermores earlier today. I wasn't able to tell from my computer screen if it was coral or pink. Is it coral on your screen? I've used that yarn before and love it! And it's free shipping today!

On my screen it definitely looks like the baby dk marble has both coral and blends into pink

Ravelry yarn section always makes me laugh. Gives you an idea of everyone's stash. 'Not for sale.' What is it? I have something you wish you had! I may never use it but no one else will either. Just being silly.

Try www.tessyarns.com in Portland Maine. She dyes all her own yarn-I did see some there recently.

Probably just keeping up with what is in their own stash and figure to use it SOMEDAY.
It's hard to keep up with bits and bobs in your stash if you have to store it where you don't see it allatime.
My SOMEDAY stuff is in a suitcase in the attic and I drag it out for my Homeless Hats & Stuff project.
