Would be a short crawl here in south Texas ;-( The only "LYS" s here are Hobby Lobby, Michaels and WalMart.
NJ has theirs in April, I believe. I live in the Union County area. I was not here this past year the weekend it was held.
There's one in Massachusetts coming up in September (the 15-18th, I think). I've done them before with a group, and it's a fun day.
Central Texas, from San Antonio to Austin to Round Rock, has a crawl the weekend of Columbus Day. It also goes east to La Grange (I think) and west to Jonestown. It may even be 2 weekends. I've never been because my women's motorcycle group, the Motor Maids, has a big gathering at that time on the Gulf Coast. My knitting group has several members who go to each shop, which means they drive a lot of miles! They always have a great time & buy lots of yarn. Several also have won door prizes.
The Greater Boston Yarn Crawl is Sept. 15-18, 2016. They have 16 LYS on their list. You can get a "passport" and have it checked at each shop you visit. Lots of chances for door prizes, etc. Good stuff!
There will be one in SE Florida in February, I will certainly be participating! What fun!!!
The DFW yarn crawl is happening right now! I went with some friends last Friday and Monday. Tomorrow is the last day and we are going out again. I love visiting all the shops and finding little treasures at each one. I will not make it to all 17 of ours, but will have visited 10, gotten some great stuff and interacted with the nicest people.
I don't know of any in NJ. :-(
Check out the website for Do Ewe Knit with stores in Westfield and Hoboken. They always participate in one and advertise it heavily.
I did one in the Chicago area a few years back before Stitches Midwest. It was great fun and I won a couple of door prizes!
I've done the Rose City, Portland OR - the last 2 years. So much fun. It is always the first weekend in March .... mark your calendars!!
Does anyone have the name of or a link to the Crawl that I heard about bin NE Ohio last year?
If so please OM me. Thank You. Sandy I
I'm in northern NJ and have never heard of any
I'm too afraid. I buy so much yarn already!
I have been doing the Yarn Along the Rockies. My daughter an I will head out again today, we only have four more LYS in the Denver metro area. We had a wonderful time yesterday traveling stopping, shopping, and talking. I'm so glad we are able to share this together😍
Have you visited Lambe Shoppe yet? Be sure to rest next door at the coffee/sandwich shop. Also, the shop in Conifer has a coffee shop inside the store - beautiful area. My next goal is to find the shops locally that did not participate in the crawl. 2 come to mind immediately and I'm sure there are more.
