Hello dear KPers,
I've read positive comments here about yarn at Aldi and Poundland. And, I read online that Poundland has discontinued selling online. It also appears they didn't ship to the US.

So, I have two questions: Is there a Poundland store or a store that sells their yarn that would ship to the US? And does Aldi sell yarn in any of their US stores?

Thank you.

Hope you get an answer! An Aldi just opened about 100 miles away! I want to go. The ads say they are trying to undercut WalMart with their pricing! But, any savings would probably be eaten up in gas going there and back. Now if they have yarn, too........

I have only been in one aldi's and it had no yarn and was a small store I can't speak on other american aldi's however in my limited experience with them they are not like walmart at all which is what my UK friend told me is that the most similar store in the usa to uk aldi's is walmart so to my mind they are not similar to the aldi's in the USA at all.

I live in MI and my Aldi's has never sold yarn but have sold the animal crocheting kits. I don't crochet and wished they would sell the yarn/ knitting kits

Aldi in the UK has different offers every week so don't stock yarn all the time. Leaflets are available instore showing what will be coming up the following Monday and Thursday.

I have never seen yarn at Aldi's in the US. Good prices on food items though.

Our Aldi stores are quite small, nothing like your Walmart or even our ASDA which belongs to Walmart. They have different offers twice a week and they don't carry wool all the time, just a few offers a year, I'd say.

Our Poundland certainly sells yarn but only in small quantities. I have only seen acrylic yarns - in great colours. Lots of deals.
From the website I can't see if they ship overseas but it would be worth checking out.
hope that helps.
