My main computer completely "died" a week or so ago. Frustrating. BUT, we resurrected my grandaughter's old refurbished computer (Dell with Windows 7) and it's now operational -- she went to laptop. Still have to boost screen resolution up to 150% (eyesight is bad), but I'm once again connected. WOO HOO!!
Now to go to all my favorite sites and login. Didn't realize just how many sites I visited on a regular or semi-regular basis ... this is going to take some time. Thankfully, ALL my files are on an external hard drive and we just got that hooked up. Everything is working fine, until I can get enough $$$'s to get a brand new computer. With warranty and a service package. LOL.
I've been using my son's laptop off and on, but I just don't like the feel of the keyboard. So I'll probably go desktop.
I use a Dell and Windows 7 and will use it as long as I can. Still one of the better operating systems, imo. Typed on my iPad😁.
Thank goodness for the old computers! We have a couple around also.
I would miss my computer if I didn't have it. This new one is so much faster than my old one.
My old Toshiba bit the dust last week, I bought an HP that has all the bells 'n whistles for $199!
Ok, I know I am the last of the dinosaurs. I dont have a computer I only have a smart phone. People expecy everyone to have one and a printer and a fax. I feel illiterate. Would be nice to talk to a person if you have a problem
I know those days are over, even my Doc doesnt want appointments by phone only on line.
Pleased to hear you are now happily back online.
I really do think things were better made in the recent past. Himself is still using a Dell laptop I gave him 5 years ago even though I replaced it for him last Christmas. He says he prefers it and Windows 7.
