I've been having eyesight issues both in the phone (text too small) and in my desktop computer, even with a 21" monitor. I have to keep it at 130 - 150% and the constant horizontal scrolling back & forth is a pain.

So I bit the bullet and now have a Kindle Fire HD8 and I LOVE it! Grand daughter got it all set up for me, larger, readable text and I've been zipping all over the net. Looking forward to being able to post more in KP.

Isn't technology great? Especially when we have children/grandchildren to help set things up for us. Enjoy zipping around the web on your new tablet!

Thanks! Arrie, 15 yr old gr-daughter, has been such a blessing and so patient with me when I give her the " Huh? What is that?" blank look. LOL.

Now get her to check your desktop - you shouldn't have to slide the horizontal if you have your webpage at fullscreen, regardless of your magnification.

Kindles are great. Glad you are enjoying yours. I have all my books on mine and makes reading so much easier.

What fun! Isn't it great to have your own 'techie' to help you out? I've started reading books on my tablet so I can knit and read at the same time.

I love the Kindle, especially when in Hawaii. I sit on the lanai, all hours from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. when I cannot sleep, and zip through my books. There are no lights on the lanai, so I cannot knit, but I can read!
