Here is another sample of color pooling... it is a simple ribbed scarf but the color pooling gives it an argyle-like effect. This keyhole scarf was created using a variegated yarn with 10 color segments.

It was designed using the website called Planned/Intentional Pooling, found at plannedpooling dot com.

Earlier posts share an example of a color-pooling scarf with 2-color variegated yarn, 3-color variegated yarn, 8-color variegated yarn.

I'm including the details on this 10-color-segment, color-pooling scarf, for any who may wish to knit something similar.
Yarn brand ..................... I Love This Yarn
Yarn color name .............. Metallic - Christmas
Yarn color change ........... varies: 4-5-6-stitches per color segment
The three colors do not repeat sequentially (red - green - white) but are arranged as a series of 10 color segments which repeat. One repeat consists of these color segments:
1. red
2. green
3. white
4. red
5. green
6. red
7. white
8. green
9. red
10. white
Needle .......................... size 8 knitter's pride nova cubics platina (my new favorite needle!)
Stitches per row ............. 26 (first stitch is slipped)
Scarf stitch .................... 1x1 ribbing
Scarf size ....................... WIP
Keyhole scarf patterns ..... see this old post
Pattern variations for this project:
1) This scarf is made with one keyhole, to be adjustable in length. The scarf's tails will be symmetrical lengths or asymmetrical lengths, depending upon how the scarf is adjusted to allow more room - or less room - around the neck.
2) The ends are knit straight across (not pointed like a leaf). I cast on 26 stitches in 1x1 ribbing.
3) The keyhole is created on the full 26 stitches, to maintain the colorpooling effect. The keyhole is knit with Yarn Bee Baby Lou Lou in soft pink.

Happy knitting!

Wonderful job, I know how challenging (yet rewarding) it is to successfully colorpool!

I knit similar scarves for veterans at our Salisbury Veterans hospital. Both the men and women love them. Will have to try the color pooling in the military colors...or camo.
