I want to make this baby bunting in Worsted weight yarn. The pattern is written for fine yarn. . . gauge 21 st/28 rows.
I have aran weight yarn which I would like to use instead. The gauge for this yarn is 18 st/24 rows. What do I need to do to make this yarn work for this pattern?
The link to the pattern is below.

Try a gauge swatch with your yarn on the size 4mm. needles and see how close you come. Some worsted weight yarn is quite light

Lots of knitters in the project page for the pattern on ravelry made the b b with thicker yarn and have noted changes they made. There are over 200 projects!! I bet you will find someone who already did the math! Good luck cute pattern

Because the weather is so cold just now, I'd be tempted to make it with doubled worsted weight yarn ... to fit me!!

Either try this pattern or compare it with the drops. It uses Aran weight. https://www.scribd.com/doc/95417916/Confortable-English-Translation

The answer is actually yes if it has for example newborn then 3mos use the newborn or 3mo size with worsted/aran weight yarn and it will come out either 3mo size based on newborn or 6 mo size based on 3month size either way babies grow quickly so it will work.
