I've got a Suzuki Garter Bar 4.5 set coming!! Part of my other set was lost in a move many many years ago. Only had the little one and the needle stopper thing. Have really missed it. Should be here late next week. Woo Hoo !! No more taking off on waste or circ's.

Looking forward to several projects I've had on the back burner. I saw an off-set panel afghan made with Quaker stitch during a hospital stay a few years ago. Have wanted to try it. Plus some nifty looking hats posted on various Facebook groups.

Practice if you haven’t been. Then again, is using a garter bar kind of like riding a bike?

I've got the small one down pat, pretty much. Hoping the large ones won't take too long to re-master. LOL.

Re: bike riding ... Hope the garter bar is much more successful than my last time on a bike (after 40 or so years off bikes)!! Good thing the grass was thick & soft. Grandkids thought it was hilarious.

Not much different from the small one. Just longer.

That is my fervent hope. It's been such a long time since I had the full bars, but should be fairly easy to get acclimated again. Looking forward to it.

It came, right on schefule. Wow, it is pristine. So happy! Can hardly wait to give it a try on Saturday. Not full bed, but at least one of the longer ones. And the instructions are in English. My other one was in Japanese.

Well, until I can resolve my gate peg issues, (see my other post. http://www.knittingparadise.com/t-524623-1.html ), I'm going to keep on practicing the short one, or do only as the right end of the machine. Sigh. If my son's boss would give him a couple of days off in a row (12 hour graveyards), I might be able to get the gate legs aligned.
