Friend thinking of selling hers and asked if I was interested. I already have one. Is it possible to hook up two Studio/Singer HK 100's ? The main flaw in my thinking is the metal sponge bar.

Could you use three bars to cover the gaps?

They can't be hooked up together. The punch card reader wouldn't work properly.

The Studio HK 100 doesn't have a punch card unit, wish it did.
I only have punch card on my Brother 890 (24 stitch).

Sorry, that machine has been referenced with the MK70 which has an 18 stitch card reader. Does your machine fold?

The HK-100 is an 8mm hobby machine, similar to the LK series machines, but it has a regular sponge bar, rather than a sponge strip.

It might be worth trying to replace the sponge bar with a firm sponge strip to see how the machine functions. I bet it would work, and your problem of the long sponge bar would be solved.

No, mine doesn't fold. Would be handy if it did.

I did go ahead and buy the 2nd machine. But it's not looking like the bed can be dismantled to give me a super long machine. Ah well. Spare parts. ☺
